Consider that Bondo finishes with a reddish hew and that will be what you see, when you apply a light colored water proofing on your wood deck. If you intend to seal a lumber deck repaired with Bondo, you will get the best results with prime and painting. Finally it is not necessary to go to an automotive store for Bondo. You can get Bondo at most any big hardware store. Incidentally, my house wood fixing job still looks great after several years.
