When considering any career change, you want something that suits you and so let’s briefly discuss how certain opportunities with respect to copy writing and writing have changed over recent years. Not only have they changed but in some cases there are huge shifts from the traditional to what’s happening now.

When considering the any of following career ideas and topics, the one thing that has not changed (and never will change is the importance of finding the kind of work that you are truly enthusiastic about. This is extremely important and especially if you are starting up a new business of your own. Some people look at careers based on how much salary they can earn, which certainly makes sense. But you also want to choose your career wisely so you enjoy your work and feel that sense of purpose.

Why consider a search marketing career?

  • offering user ” search behavior” research
  • offering keyword research services
  • sales copy writing
  • offering people editorial type or review services
  • offering writing services connected with semantics
  • search engine marketing
  • SEO copy writing

Plus there are many other writing trends too, wherever good writing is required.

Where is the demand for good writing these days?

That’s the whole point. Think about it. Good writing is required everywhere today and opportunities abound more than ever, for those who take their time to build their skills in very specific particular areas. Some will start entire careers just in a specific area such as Blogging or offering SEO services.

It’s not only just about a search marketing career either. There are a variety of skills ranging from SEO to writing sales copy or content that compels your visitors to take action. Then there is writing in quite a different style for working with news. There is content writing for working in general with Web pages. In all of these classes, I am always impressed by the work the students create in general but, especially by the work of the students who say they can’t write or don’t believe they can write. (And many times,) I think they are often surprised themselves with the quality of their work. With a little instruction and encouragement they learn that the old “I have writers block” theory is nearly always just an excuse.

The challenge with any new business is that it can, in fact be totally new to you.

Some people never really give their thoughts to something new and different so they may never give themselves that starting chance they need.

“If one advances confidently in the direction of their dreams, and endeavors to live the life which they have imagined, they will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.
Quote from Henry David Thoreau,
— (1817-1862) American philosopher, poet, and environmental scientist –

The important thing is that you don’t ever give up.
Get started, give yourself the best advantages but keep on going.
